terms of service

by creating an account or using an upload link, you agree to these terms. you must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority where you live, and able to form a binding contract to use toss-it.

toss-it lets a signed-in account holder (“recipient”) connect a Google Drive folder and generate a link that lets anyone (“sender”) upload files directly into that folder, without a toss-it account of their own. toss-it is a transport layer between a sender and the recipient's own storage — it is not a storage provider itself.

you're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide when you register, and for keeping your account credentials confidential. you're responsible for all activity that happens under your account, whether or not you personally performed it, unless it resulted from our failure to secure the service.

you agree not to use toss-it to:

• send or request unlawful, infringing, or malicious content, including malware.
• send or request child sexual abuse material — this is never tolerated and will be reported to the appropriate authorities.
• infringe someone else's intellectual property or other legal rights.
• attempt to access another user's account, links, or connected storage.
• circumvent link limits, expiry, revocation, or pause controls.
• probe, scan, or attempt to bypass rate limiting or other security controls.
• abuse the service in a way that degrades it for other users.

as a sender, you warrant that you have the right to send whatever you upload. as a recipient, you're responsible for what you do with files that arrive in your connected storage, and for who you share an upload link with — a link grants upload access to anyone who has it, so treat it accordingly.

toss-it does not scan files for malware — see security for why. files landing in your Drive are subject to whatever malware protection Google or your own systems provide, not anything toss-it adds.

if you believe content sent through toss-it infringes your copyright, email support@toss-it.online with a description of the work, the material you believe infringes it, and enough information for us to locate the relevant link or account. because toss-it doesn't retain file contents itself, most complaints will need to be directed to the storage provider the file was delivered to, but we'll act on the account and link involved where we can.

using toss-it also means files are subject to the terms, storage limits, and availability of the storage provider you connect (currently Google Drive). toss-it isn't responsible for that provider's outages, storage quota enforcement, or changes to its own terms.

toss-it is currently free to use. we may introduce paid plans or usage limits in the future; if we do, we'll give existing users notice before any charge applies to them.

toss-it is provided as-is, without uptime or availability guarantees, while it is under active development. features, limits, and this document may change.

toss-it is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. we don't warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure against every possible threat.

to the maximum extent permitted by law, toss-it and its operator won't be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, files, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of the service — even if advised of the possibility. our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the twelve months before the claim arose.

you agree to indemnify and hold toss-it harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your violation of these terms or your misuse of the service.

we may suspend or terminate access for accounts that violate these terms. you may stop using the service, disconnect your storage, or permanently delete your account and its data at any time from your account settings.

toss-it is operated by [ENTITY NAME — TODO]. these terms are governed by the laws of [JURISDICTION — TODO], without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

we may update these terms as the service changes. the “last updated” date at the top of this page always reflects the current version; continuing to use toss-it after an update means you accept the revised terms.
